What is the most outstanding feature of the valley of Kaghan in Pakistan? Lush green meadows, forests, snowy mountains, glaciers, the River Kunhar or its tremendous climate. One must not forget that the Kaghan valley is also home to many breathtaking fresh water lakes that are very popular among the tourists around the globe. Lake Saiful Muluk and Dudipatsar Lake have already been discussed in the earlier articles but here we’ll tell you the largest lake of this region and it is the Lulusar Lake, the sparkler of Kaghan valley. This phenomenal natural wonder is located approximately 48 kilometers away from Naran having an altitude of 10,910 feet (3,330 m).

Lulusar lake is considered the largest source of the fresh waters of the River Kunhar of the Kaghan valley. This lake is surrounded by huge and snowy mountain peaks those are also reflected in the clean and greenish blue waters of the Lulusar lake. The lake is accessible from the Naran town from where the amazing Naran-Babusar road leads high almost 45 k.m towards Basel. Lulusar Lake exists geographically in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the most appropriate transport are jeeps which are easily available for hiring at Naran. Lulusar Lake, the sparkler of Kaghan valley is also fenced with the golden and wild flowers that bloom in abundance in the summer.
