In Pakistan, 4 green and radiant species of Parrots are found out of the worldwide 335 species of parrots and macaws. These parrots are facing extreme dangers due to their illegal trade not only in local but in international markets. The wild life authorities in Pakistan have times and again trends of imposing and lifting the bans on trade of the native parrots and parakeets but the situation is still alarming. We must understand that the parrots are not only beauty of nature but also they contribute a lot in our eco-system and are commonest fancy game birds through out the world.
