Gwyneth Kate Paltrow is a charming American actress who was born on September 27, 1972 in Los Angeles, California. She was born like many famous actresses of Hollywood in an artist family as her mother was Blythe Danner, a well known actress, and Bruce Paltrow who was a film and television producer. After completing her graduation from the Spence School in New York City, Paltrow moved to California where she attended the University of California in Santa Barbara, majoring in Art History. Soon after getting her showbiz start at the Williamstown Theatre play “Picnic,” with her mother in 1990, very next year Paltrow appeared in her first film, Shout (1991) with John Travolta.

Paltrow placed herself in the heart of the key film producers and directors very soon and in the same year she was cast by Steven Spielberg in his film Hook (1991). After that, Paltrow performed in some minor roles in Malice (1993) and Flesh and Bone (1993). In 1995, Paltrow was cast in a supporting role in Seven alongside Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, which earned her a Satellite Award nomination.In 1996, she played the title character in Emma to critical acclaim. In 1996, Paltrow was also assigned as Calvin Klein model and she was also engaged to Brad Pitt in the same year.

Perhaps the busiest year of the career of Gwyneth Paltrow was 1998 with the release of five of her films, including Great Expectations(1998), Sliding Doors (1998), A Perfect Murder (1998), and John Madden‘s masterpiece Shakespeare in Love (1998). Her performance as Viola in Shakespeare in Love earned Paltrow the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and she also achieved the biggest milestone of her career, the Academy Award for Best Actress. Platrow also received many other honors for her splendid acting in this movie. After this, Gwyneth Paltrow did not get much success in her later projects, although she appeared in numerous films since 2000. Her latest movie, The Avengers was released in 2012 in which she appeared in a cameo display.

Gwyneth Paltrow is also involved in many charitable works. She is the artist ambassador of Save the Children and she is also on the board of Robin Hood Foundation which works for the poverty alleviation in New York city. Her husband Chris Martin is a renowned business man of the British Rock Group Coldplay backstage.  The couple has two children.
