Goðafoss or Godafoss is a miraculously amazing waterfall in Iceland which is also known as waterfall of the gods in Iceland. It is located right off the Ring Road, about 50 km (31 miles) east of Akureyri and 53km (33 miles) south/west of Husavik. Goðafoss is also associated with a significant event in the Icelandic history, the conversion to Christianity from heathendom or “the old custom” in the year 1000.
