Asia is maybe not the first place you think of when you think beach vacation, but it can be! South East Asia has a lot of islands that are close enough to easily hop around. There are a lot of great hotels, and a lot of great food. Here are some of the best beaches in Asia.

Radhanagar Beach

Radhanagar Beach is located on Havelock island which is a part of the Andaman Islands. The beach has very clean sand, bathroom and locker facilities, and gorgeous water. On days that it isn’t windy the water actually looks like an infinity pool.

Agonda Beach

Agonda Beach in Goa is a very beautiful spot. The beach is carefully tended to so it’s always in good condition, and there are lots of shops and restaurants to alternate with sitting on the beach. Between October and May you can see the turtle nesting.

Railay Beach

Railay Beach in Krabi Thailand is not incredibly popular, which is exactly why you should go. It’s gorgeous and still mellow enough to have a relaxing day. To get there you have to take a ten minute boat ride from Ao Nang.

Koh Song Saa

Koh Song Saa Cambodia is an eco friendly resort that was the brainchild of an Australian couple who fell in love with the area. The resort is on a beautiful beach and not only are they dedicated to preserving the area, but they donate a portion of the money they make to the education of local children.

Padang Padang Beach

Padang Padang Beach in Bali is quite popular as a surf spot. It was also used in filming Eat, Pray, Love. The walk to get there requires a rocky path through a cave, but it’s worth the view.

Nikoi Island

Nikoi Island in Indonesia is a 30 minute boat ride from Singapore, and there isn’t much to see besides sand and ocean. (Which is probably why you want to go.) There is a resort with only 15 villas, and the island is otherwise uninhabited.

Sunset Beach

Sunset beach in Koh Lipe Thailand is named such because it really has some amazing sunset views over the beach. The restaurants on the island made sure to include a lot of outdoor seating and amazing views for you to enjoy while you’re dining.

Gili Islands

The Gili islands in Indonesia are actually three different islands, and they have a way less populated feel to them when compared with places like Bali or Phuket. Each island has a different vibe in and of themselves as well.

White Beach

White Beach in Boracay Philippines is an extremely beautiful island that can get pretty lively. It has a ton of restaurants, shops, and places to stay, and often you will find full on parties down at the beach. If you’re planning on spending a day out there be sure and get there early to claim a spot on the sand.
